ProStores Design Features and Tools

ProStores gives you and your merchant customers:

  • Design and layout customization
  • 180 pre-designed themes
  • 25 pre-defined layouts for the home page, product list pages, and product detail pages

With ProStores you can customize your templates by:

  • Using three different page editors:
    • Basic
    • Advanced
    • Source
  • Using the ProStores Dreamweaver Extension
  • Import/export pages that you have worked on outside of the ProStores editors
  • Adding user defined page templates

Dynamic Pages

  • Each page in a ProStores site is made up of a combination of three page templates: the header, the footer, and the body.
  • More than 60 pre-defined page bodies depending on store tier, including:

  • ProStores Store Versions feature gives you the ability to select different designs based on:

ProStores Markup Language

ProStores uses SSML — equivalent to HTML or SGML. With SSML you can define and customize the type of information you displayed on web pages. SSML enhances the functionality and design of the store. SSML tags are used to:

  • Display information
  • Create form fields
  • Apply formatting
  • Create links
  • Display information based on conditions
  • Create and sort lists

Business Objects

ProStores Business Objects provide you direct access to information in the store.

Business Objects are:

  • Objects: containers of information such as "product" or "customer", contains several members
  • Members: individual data points such as "photoImage" or "firstName"
  • Object Expressions: combination of objects and members such as "$product.photoImage" or "$customer.firstName"

Business Objects can be used with ProStores tags, HTML tags, and JavaScript. They help save you time while developing unique designs that meet your merchant's design and business needs.
